  1. In a class action lawsuit, car owners are suing Kia, Hyundai in Orange County for “security breaches”. The lawsuit alleges that the Orange County-based company “failed to install technology to thwart car thieves” after a viral TikTok video revealed “a vulnerability that they say sparked a wave of thefts. Kia is headquartered in Irvine and Hyundai is located in the United States from Fountain Valley (City News Service)
  2. Speaking of car problems, Tesla is recalling nearly 1.1 million cars that could cause people’s fingers to get caught in the window. Tesla reported the problem with the automatic window reversing system in the recalled vehicles Wednesday via a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Tesla said they would perform “an over-the-air software update” to fix the problem. When a window closes without the proper automatic reversing system, there is “a risk of injury, the NHTSA said. The recall includes some 2017-2022 Model 3, 2020-2021 Model Y and 2021-2022 Model S and Model X vehicles. (US today)
